Today I was given a gift. It was not a present because it was obligatory for my birthday or Christmas. It was a gift because it was what God knew I needed to see, and He let me see it.
Read MoreAs of this morning I have been in Japan for 1 week. It has been a really good week of acclimation to the Japanese way of life and getting used to my schedule as a whole. Over the past weekend I hung out with a kid’s camp and photographed their activities as part of my job. This included going on a hike with them, going bike riding, and zip lining! I also got started on sketching icon ideas for Northstar’s new website.

Read MoreOne Sunday my parents and I went out to the town of Chuxnaban Queztaltepec, in the state of Oaxaca. We drove up and down a whole range of mountains for about three hours before we arrived. We left early in the morning and arrived in Chuxnaban in time for breakfast. The point of the trip was to witness the dedication of the Bible in the language spoken in Chuxnaban: Mixe.
